At the touch of a button it can also actually help prioritize troubleshooting using the top reported fixes related to these codes, specific to your vehicle’s make, model, year and engine.

The “top reported fix” is the most probable solution to the vehicle’s problem and is a shortcut for troubleshooting efforts. Auto-Scanner Plus will indicate on screen which codes have the Code Connect details available. Then it’s a simple push of the button to get the Code Connect information. These actual vehicle fixes have been reported and then verified by the Actron team of ASE certified technicians.

This OBD ii scanner is currently on sale at Amazon.com! Click this link to take advantage of this huge discount!

Here are some great features of the Actron cp9580:

Generic and manufacturer specific code definitions on screen and trilingual support;

With Code Connect quickly pinpoint and prioritize the solution not just the code, providing 3 million verified fixes specific to the vehicle’s make, model, year and engine;

Compatible with OBD-II and CAN vehicles 1996 and newer and includes domestic ABS code coverage, record and playback data stream and on screen graphing;

Custom data list for live data and graph live data;

Additional advance features such as freeze frame data, drive cycle mode, state OBD check and print data support.

This device works with optional battery power (as well as directly through the OBD-II connector). It is also field updateable via USB port and allows you to print data to PC. Comes with a trilingual manual (English, Spanish, and French).

Here’s what one happy customer had to say about the Actron cp9580:

As a stand alone unit, this thing is awesome!!! ABS/TRAC lights rolled up on my 2000 300M, and after a bit of research on the internet, I figured that if I could locate the problem, I would be able to fix it. Plugged it in,,,left rear wheel speed sensor signal diagnostic came up…removed the tire….pulled the sensor….noted some build up of “moon dust”…no evidence of oil or grease from a seal….cleaned with a toothbrush…re-assembled and cleared the diagnostic and all is back to normal. A twenty minute job and the unit has paid for itself. I didn’t have “Code Connect” for this problem,since it was pretty straight forward, but having it is a DEFINITE ADVANTAGE for the DIY’er… IMHO worth the extra money. (Tommy B.)

Connecting an OBD ii scanner to your car should be relatively simple. All cars in the U.S from 1996 onwards are by law required to have an OBD ii connector installed.

The female 16 pin connector is usually located on the driver’s side under the dash. Some other locations where the connector might be found include: under the steering wheel, the driver’s foot well, the area between the driver and passenger seat, behind the ash tray, under the passenger seat, and over the passenger door.

To connect the OBD ii Scanner to your car you plug the end of the included cable with the 16-pin connector to the female 16-pin port, and then connect the other end of the cable to the OBD ii reader. It’s that simple.

Also, ALWAYS make sure your car is turned off when connecting your OBD ii scanner to your car for safety reasons.

By having an OBD ii scanner you will be able to locate your car’s problems via your car’s computer and then either fix it yourself if you are mechanically minded (saving you big bucks!) or you will know exactly what is wrong with your car before you bring it to your mechanic or dealership (stopping you from getting ripped off)! Either way it’s a win win scenario.

The Actron cp9175 comes with a large easy-to-read LCD screen that allows you to view the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and their descriptions as generated by your vehicles on-board computer, leading you to the trouble area.
The cp9175 is trilingual (displays in English, Spanish or French) and easily links to your 1996 and later OBD II compliant vehicle, American and import cars and trucks.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Actron cp9175:

If you have the need to see what is happening under the hood by tapping into your car’s computer, then this item would serve you well. The unit reads codes, erases false codes, including that ‘check engine light’ icon that comes on for no reason every once in a while, and it even will review your car’s emissions before going to inspection. For the price of the unit, it’s just a great find. (H. Frierman)

Soon after I received this in the mail, I had the package opened, directions read and device hooked up to my car. Basic functionality was extremely straightforward. I ended up diagnosing a rough idle condition that was pinpointed to cylinder #4 ignition coil. I highly recommend this unit! (A. Shoemaker)

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Equus 3140:

I rarely give the top (or bottom) rating for a product, but the Equus 3140 Innova Diagnostic Code Scanner earned top honors. It is exactly what I had hoped it would be after a great deal of research. The capabilities of this model are exceptional. I wasn’t able to find any other manufacturer that claimed all of the same capabilities as this model and some of those were twice the price. It not only scans many older vehicles (’83-’95 – OBDl), but also includes Transmission codes which were not mentioned by any other manufacturer I researched, and I was looking. I have already found it extremely helpful and expect it to pay for itself many times over. (S. Gardner)

It diagnoses ABS codes and retrieves OEM enhanced as well as transmission DTCs. This diagnostic tool features unique patented all in one screen display as well as LED display for quick state emissions readiness check and drive cycle verification. It communicates with all OBD2 protocols and provides enhanced live data.

The 3160 provides Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) diagnostic functionality to troubleshoot problems with ABS solenoids, ABS pump motors, brake switches, control modules, speed sensors and more on most 1996 and newer GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles.

This OBD ii scanner is available at Amazon for well over 50% off retail price! Click this link to take advantage of this huge discount!

The DTC codes are specific to vehicle make and are quite accurate at pointing to the vehicle’s problem.

Here are some great features of the Equus 3160:

Reads ‘check engine’ light warnings on all 1996 and newer cars, light trucks, SUVs and minivans, domestic and import -including C.A.N. (Controller Area Network);

Diagnoses ABS codes on most 1996 and newer GM, Ford & Chrysler vehicles;

Professional OBD ii generic scan tool for all 1996 and newer cars, light trucks, and SUVs – domestic, Asian and European Import;

Features unique patented back-lit, all-in-one screen display which allows for simultaneous viewing of 25 data points without changing menus in low light conditions;

Provides SAE enhanced Live Data (view, record and live PCM data plays back streams), displays freeze frame data, automatically refreshes updates data every 30 seconds when connected to the vehicle, and is flash up-datable with a standard Windows PC;

Comes with access to additional online vehicle diagnostics through CanOBD2.com’s RepairSolutions program.

Combine this with the unit’s Internet connectivity which makes for easy software updates and you have a powerful, professional grade multi-use diagnostic tool that you can count on for years to come.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Equus 3160:

It has an excellent screen with the exact information you need to make repairs. It is obvious that they consulted with a repair tech when they designed it. I also wanted something I could read the ABS system with. The Equus Innova 3160 does the trick. It is easy to use and understand. It’s a great scanner and well worth the money. (D. Thomas)
